Hot lizards, hackers and Uruk and Sam-urai, and the Old Ones are kicking…
- Dragonfire: Catalyst Game labs has announced a new title in which they have teamed up with the folks at Wizards. Dragonfire is a cooperative deck building game for 3-6 players that will allow you to grow your characters as you explore various locales throughout the Forgotten Realms! Catalyst states that it is built using the Crossfire engine so it should be quite familiar to fans of that game. The current information hints at a more persistent relationship with your character for an extended time which to me is a welcomed change to the current Crossfire style. I will say that I hope Catalyst goes away from using stickers for the upgrading options (feats, abilities, equipment, etc) as that was my least favorite aspect of Crossfire. We do not have a due date for this yet.
- Fantasy Flight Games: LCG love for all the people! FFG has released two expansions and a preview for three of their titles in their LCG line. The Land of Shadow Nightmare Decks are now available for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game and promises more evil than you can shake a warg at! Switching jumpers we also have a new addition for Android Netrunner: The Card Game with the Terminal Directive Campaign Expansion. Teeming with futuristic mysteries it should have your head spinning like a Windows Update™! Lastly there is a preview for the first few phases of the Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game (releases later this year at Gen Con) which give you all the basics you need to know to for your bid to control the Emerald empire!
- Unspeakable: Sigil & Sign: The kickstarter for this RPG in which you take on the role of one of the cultist following the Old Ones has started! This RPG explores the viewpoint of said cultists and their take on “normal” humans and their attempts to destroy the cultists world. A view from the other side if you will. Go, pledge, Cthulhu compels!
